This book introduces the reader to the history of the Civilian Conservation Camp that was constructed in Annawan, Illinois.

This camp has a rich history that ties in with the Drainage Districts of northwestern Illinois.  The camp was one of six to work of drainage projects near the camp. It was also the home for a troop of African-American Enrollees, who would be stationed at Camp Annawan until it closed in 1942.
